Gary Johnson: Outlier to the GOP, or the Future of the GOP?

I think it's about time the Republican Party returned to its roots of freedom, small government run at the state level, and personal responsibility.  Gary Johnson may be the man to help usher in a new era of fiscal conservatism.

Gary Johnson was a 2 term Republican governor of New Mexico.  When he left office at the end of his second term, he left New Mexico with a 1 billion dollar budget surplus, which is unheard-of in modern times.  He also created more jobs than nearly every state in the private sector, while reducing government jobs without firing a single employee.

He believes that marijuana should be legal, simply because the drug war is a prohibition that America is losing.
He supports gay unions, because he believes the government should not step into the personal lives of its citizens.

If enough people know what Gary Johnson stands for, maybe the Republican Party will cease to be about tradition, and become a modern beacon of freedom.

By the way, he is running for President of the United States.

I urge you to take the time to read more about Gary Johnson.  His veto record and budgets speak for themselves.
